AGH University of Science and Technology, leading Polish technical university and one of the biggest HE institutions in Poland, was established on 20th October, 1919. 

It’s main aim is to extend knowledge and educate students in science and technology and other areas that correspond to the current demands of the society and labor.




AGH-UST consists of 16 faculties offering more than 50 programmes of 1st,  2nd and 3rd cycle and postgraduate studies for 36 000 students. So far, the university has educated over 150,000 engineers and master’s degree graduates. The employment rate among the students‘ and alumni is around 80% as AGH-UST’s degree is well recognised among industry and other companies in Poland. Strong cooperation with the leading bussinesses and companies, practice-oriented curriculum and well-equipped laboratories support development of students‘ competences.


The university cherishes its traditions and educates students to be honest, responsible people both at work and as the members of the society, according to its motto: “Labore creata, labori et scientiae servio” (Created in labour, I serve labour and science).
